Colten Teubert Concussed??? Curtis Hamilton Injured???

Colten Teubert isn't practicing with the Oilers this moring in Penticton, BC. He took a hard punch last night vs the Canucks (see video below) and it's possible he now has a concussion.  His nose was bleeding bad after the fight and it is possible he just has a broken nose and not a concussion. Either way, he's not skating today.

We will post updates right here as they are released.

EDIT: He suffered a broken nose. No talk of a concussion. He says he will not play in the last two Young Stars games.

Here is the video of the incident.

CURTIS HAMILTON

Jason Gregor is reporting that Curtis Hamilton left the ice early during practice today. It appears he tweaked his leg in last night's game and was seen going off the ice and was bending or flexing his leg.

We will also keep you posted on this.

Projected Oilers Lines For Young Stars Game vs Canucks

The Oilers announced the practice lines this morning on twitter.  I'd assume that these are the lines they go with for the first game at least.

They have one extra forward line and two extra defence pairing who will be sitting out tonight. The guys (IMO) in italics are going to sit out. I would also assume Bunz and Roy split this game, but the Oilers have given no indication on who or what they will go with for the goalie situation.

**UPDATE** Dan Tencer says that Olivier Roy will get the start for the game. He also says the Oilers will go with 11 forwards and 7 defencemen.

Oklahoma City Barons Game 3 Preview vs. Hamilton Bulldogs

At 7:05(CDT) in the Cox Convention Center, the Barons head into their pivotal Game 3 against the Hamilton Bulldogs. The two things that the Barons need to figure out to win, are the Nigel Dawes line and the goaltending of Drew MacIntyre. Everytime the Dawes line is on the ice, the Bulldogs do well to set up in the offensive zone and run their shift like a PP. The Barons had lots of good chances in Game 2, but MacIntyre was a brick wall. Once they get past that, they should be in good shape as long as their own goaltending keeps them in the game. When Ben Ondrus is your team's point leader with 2 points when you have a bunch of other scorers, it's not a good sign.

The Barons announced today that they signed Curtis Hamilton to an ATO. Doubtful that he plays, but there's a small chance, seeing as they've had either Tanner House or Hunter Tremblay in the lineup, both on ATOs of their own. Puck drops at 7:05. You can listen on 96.1 KXY in OKC, or on Team 1260 in Edmonton. You can also check out the game on AHL Live($). I started a new job this week, that unfortunately won't allow me to be at the game tonight, so check out @OKC_Barons on twitter for updates if you would like to go that route.

Referees: Jean Hebert, Tim Mayer; Linesmen: Randy Sappo, Carl Sasyn

Curtis Hamilton and Olivier Roy Make Team Canada (WJHC)

Congratulations to forward Curtis Hamilton and goaltender Olivier Roy as they were both selected to represent Team Canada at the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championship.

We should be proud of these two players as some very, very good players were cut this morning including Red Deer Rebels foward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

Here is the Team Canada Roster

VIDEO of Final Roster

Feels good to know that the Edmonton Oilers are represented at the WHJC. Both players are Oilers draft picks and both have very bright futures.

Stay tuned to OilersJambalaya.com for coverage of the World Junior Hockey Championships starting on Boxing Day.
