REVS 2013 NHL DRAFT PROSPECTS:
1. Nathan Mackinnon
2. Seth Jones
3. Sean Monahan
4. Aleksander Barkov
5. Hunter Shinkaruk
6. Curtis Lazar
7. Jonathan Drouin
8. Ryan Pulock
9. Elias Lindholm
10. Valeri Nichushkin
11. Anthony Duclair
12. Max Domi
13. J.T Compher
14. Josh Morrissey,
15. Adam Erne
What started out as a good early season drive ended shortly after Anthony got injured. Upon returning back to the lineup now without his running mate in Mikhail Grigorenko, Duclair struggled to find the offensive game that he showed earlier on at the beginning of the season. At 5'11 and 182 lbs Duclair will either have to play a agitator game or show top end offensive vision and awareness on the ice.
Anthony is electrifying on the give and go. Has world class speed combined with elite stickhandling and a howitzer for a shot and you have yourself a hockey player. Hard to say how far back he will fall now butmost rankings have him anywhere from 15th-29th but he will go in the 1st round at this years 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Unfortunately Duclair is no longer in my top 15 to be selected but he is a player who will create alot of interest from 15th pick down. Edmonton is not a option for the Oilers unless he was to slip to the 2nd round which is highly unlikely. I imagine that a team currently playing in the playoffs will select him (maybe the St Louis Blues as they don't have many small skilled guys) or maybe the Blue Jackets with their three 1st round picks in this years 2013 draft?

I dont know a lot about all the prospects, but how are we supposed to take your list seriously when you have Lazar ahead of Drouin? I like the blog, but that just takes your credibility to zero.
ReplyDeleteCorey Pronman has Drouin #1
ReplyDeleteThat ranking was done before the CHL season had begun...here is the original posting and date...

September 19th/2012 I made the rankings and in all fairness, I was one of only 3 rankings that even had Drouin in top 10 ranking. That ranking was before the world even knew what he could do and was considered undersized by almost everyone.
I did not update my ranking throughout the year as have the rankings you have seen by people having him ranked so high. If you go back to the other rankings out there to last september you will not find him listed almost at all in top 10.
October 5th 2011 I selected the following in my draft watch..
ReplyDelete1) Yakupov
2)Grigorenko
3) Murray
4)Galchenyuk
5)Reilly
6)Dumba
7)Ebert
8)Forsberg
9)Reinhart
10)Frk
11)Pouliot
12)Ceci
13)Mattaa
14)Girgensens
15)Trouba
I made a couple changes in January 2012 and here they are...

Bottom line is in the top 15 actually selected later that draft year 12 of my original top 15 picked at the beginning of the season were picked top 15 later at the draft. That is a entire season of play before the actual selection.
I will still go on record and say at least 10 of my top 15 will still be selected top 15 at the NHL Entry Draft, maybe 12 this year.
