Oklahoma City Barons Announce Training Camp Roster

Well the OKC Barons released their training camp rosters today (listed below). Good list but very surprising that I didn't know a whole lot of them. If you look at my projected roster, and you look at the press release list below in blue, that's a lot of different guys, and a different looking roster.

I know with the Oilers camp cuts coming up, the Barons roster will look more like the Oilers, than Who's by the time it's all said and done.

A good example is Colin McDonald and Jake Taylor. Both players have AHL contracts and yet they aren't on the list. For some reason, Philippe Cornet is also not on the list (maybe injured?), yet all three are listed at the OKC Barons roster page.

Or Martin Gerber. I say he's the obvious choice for goal. He has a 2 way contract which makes him the easiest goalie to send to OKC. No waivers.

By the start of the regular season, this team will be rockin' and rollin'! Can't wait.

OKC HOCKEY IS BACK!

  1. Hey Ray

Gerber, Taylor & McDonald I understand ... kinda bad form to list a guy until he gets cut from the big team, y'know? But I don't get Cornet - where'd he go?
